2023 KCSE probe begins: KNEC, TSC summons principals with Withheld KCSE Results: School Principals who had the KCSE results withheld due to suspected claims of irregularities have been summoned for questioning as some of the affected candidates seek questions from the National Examinations Appeals Tribunal.
The principals will appear before a committee set by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) and Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to shed light on what would have led to the withholding of results for the over 4,000 candidates.
According to the Ministry of Education, the process started on Wednesday and is to be completed before the end of the 21-day complaints period.
MoE stated,“They are expected to explain what transpired when the national examination was going in the respective institutions and what would have resulted in the withholding of the results.”
In a report from Nandi County Director of Education Harrison Muriuki, the withheld results would be made public within 20 days as directed by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu while releasing 2023 KCSE results on Monday at Moi Girls, Eldoret.

The results of the remaining 4,109 candidates who were suspected to have engaged in examination irregularities have been withheld pending the completion of investigations into their cases, within 20 days.”
