The body which is responsible for student placements in tertiary institutions affirmed that the application portal for students had not yet been opened but highlighted that official communication on the same will be done in due course.
They stated,”Monitor KUCCPS online platforms for updates through www.kuccps.ac.ke, on X, formerly Twitter (@kuccps_official) and the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (The.Placement.Service) for Facebook. We look forward to offering support in accessing courses in universities, colleges and TVET institutions.”
Machogu instructed KUCCPS to educate the 2023 candidates on the grading system and the financing model introduced by President William Ruto last year
He stated,” In a departure from tradition, this is the first KCSE examination results to be released under a new grading structure that was implemented in the 2023 KCSE examination. The reviewed grading system was approved by the Council as per Council Resolution No. 2/C 18th September/ 2023/1.”
“ I direct KUCCPS to mount a robust career awareness campaign among the 2023 KCSE candidates to ensure all students understand the new TVET and universities entry requirements under the Higher Education Funding Model that was launched last year,” he added.
