Ruto Responds to Raila, Rubbishes his remarks on Meeting with CJ Koome: President Ruto has has told off the opposition leader Raila Odinga over his remarks of encouraging the Judiciary to ignore dialogue following weeks of tension with the Executive.
The head of state had agreed to a dialogue with the Judiciary on condition that corrupt Judicial officers are removed out of office
“Those who are opposed to any conversation amongst any Kenyan institutions so that we can sort out challenges that face development in our country are the ones who have been recruited by the cartels and saboteurs so that they can continue to take advantage of the people of Kenya and we want to tell them shame on you,” added President Ruto.
This comes two days after Raila Odinga weighed in on the meet up between President Ruto and Chief Justice Martha Koome, saying that the dialogue would compromise the Judiciary.
He stated,”There is no need for CJ Koome calling for dialogue with President William Ruto. The Judiciary is independent. Calling dialogue with President Ruto is the beginning of compromising our judiciary,”
“Our MPs have been hijacked by the president. They approve policies that are not friendly to Kenyans. The executive has also been compromised. The Judiciary was the only remaining hope for Kenyans,” he added.
