Esther Passaris Breaks Silence: Nairobi County Women Rep has responded to Netizens calling her out for doing too little, on the call of End Femicide in Kenya.
Passaris responded to A netizen who stated,”I think the issue is ppl felt you did too little too late, considering. Perhaps this is an opportunity to put in place some frameworks to fight the misogyny that plays huge factor in femicide.”
However, in her Defense, the legislator highlighted that protestors were against her because they do not know what she has been doing on the sides, to make sure the campaign against Femicides is a success.
Passaris stated,” I was booed because I was the available punching bag to let out frustrations and to settle political scores. Not because “you did little too late”.
”I have been on a planning wall with CSOs for the Femicide March from inception. @NGAAF_KE and my entire team stood up to be counted as mandated. We finished the march strong. Now back to work knowing we are ALL part of the solution and the problem.”
It was all chaos Yesterday at the Nairobi Central Business District, when Passaris stood up to speak. Protestors however, booed her up saying she should not speak.
