Mixed Reactions as Jowie Releases Gospel song Minutes After Guilty Verdict: Murder convict Joseph Irungu alias Jowie has released a new gospel song titled Nakuabudu (I praise you) moments after he was declared guilty of the murder of The late Businesswoman Monica Kimani.
In the video that was posted on YouTube on Friday midday, Jowie praises the Lord and acknowledges the spiritual impact on his life.
He highlighted that the Word (of the Lord) comforts him in his time of need and the Lord guides him during his troubles.
The video shows Jowie’s thumbnail photo as he lifts his hands while looking above.
He sings, “I will praise you Lord forever. I am forever in your hands, I am returning to you. At the cross, I am healed, I will not be afraid for you are with me. Your word comforts me, Lord. I praise you, I worship you. It’s you.”
Netizens have reacted;
Ben wrote,”Let’s not just have pity on one party, but let’s also bear in mind the family that lost their loved one not to natural causes, but rather in a heinous murder.”
Joe expressed,”The Lord God Jehovah Shalom is Gracious, If Jowie repents aright, the Lord will forgive him, But he committed the offense.”
On Friday, Lady Justice Grace Nzioka ruled Joseph Irungu alias Jowie is guilty of Monica Kimani murder and that the prosecution had proved beyond reasonable doubt that Jowie committed the crime in September 2018.
She stated, “It is the finding of this court that all this evidence taken cumulatively leads to a strong conclusion that the first accused person murdered the deceased,”
“Therefore, it is the finding of this court that the prosecution has proved beyond a reasonable doubt all the ingredients of the offence of murder, the death that occurred, the cause of death and the person who committed that offence. It was not a case of homicide, It was unlawful. Therefore I find the first accused person guilty as charged herein of the offence of murder,” she added.
