Breaking News: CS Kithure Kindiki Gazettes 16 New Sub Counties: The National Government through the Ministry of Interior on February 14, gazetted 16 new sub counties across the Republic.
Notably, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki created new divisions, locations and sub-locations in 31 counties under the National Government coordination Act of 2013.
The New sub-counties are Tarasaa, Tiriki East, Narok Amalo, Narok West, Kambu, Murera, Kerio Valley, Kabras East, Kabras West, Usigu, Suba Central, Suba West, Suba South, Rachuonyo West, Dagoretti North, and Dagoretti South.
According to the Gazette Notice, Kindiki indicated that Suba South and Dagoretti South had been in existence but were now being renamed.
Tiriki East will be headquartered in Shaviringa with Amalo officers stationed in Sogoo town and Ng’osuani acting as the headquarters of Narok West.
Kambu Sub County which has been carved from Kibwezi East will have its headquarters in Kambu while the headquarters for Murera Sub County will be at Toll Town.
Other established headquarters include; Chesongoch (Kerio Valley), Malava Town (Kabras East), Sindo (Suba Central), and Sena (Suba West).
New Divisions include;
Jibana, Gede, Chakama, Chara, Garsen Central, Fafi, Mugwe, Kathangachini, Uragate, Thagicu North, Kithungo, Kikumbulyu, Kavete, Kikoko,Gakawa, Kabaru, Mweiga, Endarasha, Wamagana and Siyoi.
Kindiki additionally created Meibeki/ Karuna, Tembelio, Embobut, Endo, Lolminingai, Kabirirsang, Kapkoros, Kambiri, Namubila, Mageta, Nyamonye, Kabonyo Kanyagwal, Kanyada West, Kanyada Central, Ruma/ Kaksingiri East, Gwassi North, Kabondo East, Kojwach, Opapo and Kuja divisions.
