Uproar as video of Man Beating up a Police Officer Trends: Video of a man raining punches a uniformed police officer has left Kenyans in shock.
The video that has made rounds on social media, shows a brief argument between several men and a police officer who appears to be walking away from the scene.
Someone from the crowd is also heard saying ‘sameheaneni bana’, as the tempers appear to ignite.
“Hakuna kusameheana hapa,” someone, who appears to be the man driving a BMW, says as he approaches angrily.
Just as the heat increases, a man wearing a red hoodie and blue jeans approaches the officer, saying, “We unaingilia…” before punching him in the face.
The police officer is caught off guard – in the violent commotion, his headgear falls off.
“Weee unapiga polisi?” a chorus sounds as men approach the aggressor, pushing him back trying to settle matters.
“Unanipiga?” the officer is also heard repeatedly asking, approaching the driver, in disbelief.
Not too long after, an Administration Police vehicle is seen approaching as more police officers walk towards the drama and quickly arrests the individual.
According to reports, the man driving the BMW was involved in an accident with a boda boda rider. A motorbike can also be seen a few metres away, lying on the road.
While it has not been identified who the assailant is or even on which particular road the fracas occurred, Kenyans have come out to condemn the individual for his attack on a police officer.
One netizen wrote, “For the first time, I support a police officer. And it’s also funny to see the police and Nduthi guys reading from the same page. This man has no idea the magnitude of trouble he has just invited in his life,”
Another user said, “Punching a police officer? In Kenya? I don’t know what to call this. It’s definitely not the bravery he thought it is. This is nothing less than a nightmare about to unfold. He’s doomed for life!
