A video that has circulated on social media showed a huge cloud of fire razing down premises at the home but the extent of damage is yet to be established.
The incident came a few hours after Governor Johnson Sakaja visited a team of firefighters nursing injuries after responding to a collapsed wall in Kariobangi.

“This afternoon, I visited two of our officers who were injured in Kariobangi after a wall collapsed during response to a fire incident and are recuperating in hospital. We support them and encourage all our valiant officers to keep doing all they can to save lives and property,” he added.
The fire breakout marks the second major tragedy in Embakasi less than a month after a gas explosion left seven people dead and many others nursing injuries.
