Several KU Students Feared Dead after University Bus Collides with Trailer: Several students from Kenyatta University are feared dead after their bus was involved in an accident on Monday, March 18.
The accident involving the university bus and a trailer was reported in Maungu, Voi, Taita Taveta County resulting in the death and injuries of several students.
In a several videos and photos making rounds all over social media, the university bus was hit from the back, by the loaded trailer which mostly affected the students seating in the rear seats.
Some of the students were seen motionless on the ground as eyewitnesses attempted to rescue the injured before police arrived.
Police and an emergency response team from the county arrived at the scene to assess the situation, offer first aid to the injured and ferry the bodies to the local morgue
Additionally, seats from the bus and other materials belonging to the students were scattered on the ground as it continued raining.
