Father of 23-Year-Old ‘Tycoon’ Abducted in Juja Breaks Silence.
Father of 23-Year-Old ‘Tycoon’ Abducted in Juja Breaks Silence: Speaking to the press, Paul Mutai, the father to Felix Kibet dismissed claims that his son was a tycoon with four luxury vehicles, despite reports that Kibet was living a lavish lifestyle.
Mutai stated,” Those are lies, my son only has one car and I am the one who bought it for him. Whoever is spreading these rumours should be arrested and tell us what they know.”
Mr. Mutai went ahead to reveal that his son had only one vehicle which he( Mutai) helped him purchase, citing that the family was using his (Kibet) account to save money for various purposes.
On claims that Kibet was building two homes, Mutai stood his ground saying that his son was used to farming and had a piece of land in their rural village.
He stated, “I gave him the piece of land, even while in university he used to farm and got a few coins. He used the money to start a business.”
The father has called upon the authorities to find his son, arguing that efforts to trace him have been in vain despite visiting the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters.
Felix Kibet graduated from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) with a Bachelor in Commerce Degree.
According to unverified reports, Kibet is suspected to have involved himself in online fraud. He is said to have shared snippets of his luxurious and ‘soft’ life online, including posting vehicles he ‘allegedly’ owns.
Police are currently unfolding the circumstances surrounding his abduction which was conducted by individuals posing as police officers at a local entertainment joint on Monday.
