Police Officer Washed Away by Floods Trying to Rescue Stranded Kenyans: An officer of the law, attached to Kamukunji Police Station was washed away by floods on Sunday night while trying to rescue stranded kenyans.
Reportedly the police officer had rescued four people, three women and a child from their business stalls before he was swept away by the floods that have caused outrage in Nairobi County.
The statement read,”After the successful rescue, the officer who was deployed together with them went back to assist in locking the stalls when suddenly the remaining holding slab caved in.”
“Unfortunately, the slab fell in, and as a result, the officer was swept away by the raging waters before he could get back together with his rifle AK 47 serial Number loaded with 30 RDS of 7.62*39mm special.”
Reports indicate that atleast four people have been killed so far in separate incidents within Nairobi as a result of floods chaos within Nairobi County.
Residents are now calling upon Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja to intervene and work on the drainage systems within the county
