Gunshots fired in Ruto security Official residence: Detectives are unfolding circumstances surrounding the shoot out that involved president Ruto’s security official.
According to reports, the unfortunate incident happened when the officer took his family out for Easter celebrations along Southern Bypass.
Upon returning in the evening, the report detailed that a marital conflict ensued between the officer and his 29-year-old wife.
This angered the wife rushed to the bedroom and returned with a Jericho pistol. She cocked the gun and pointed it against herself, threatening to end her life in front of their children.
One of the children begged the mother not to harm herself as he approached slowly to grab the gun and calm her down. Unfortunately one round of ammunition was shot, hitting the mother on the upper side of the chest and exiting from the back and the child sustained injuries on her right hand.
Confirming the incident was Sub-County Police Commander (SCPC), Sub-County Criminal Investigation Officer (SCCIO), Officer Commanding Station (OCS) and Officer Commanding Police Post (OCPP) who immediately visited the scene.
A bullet head was recovered three meters away from the main door and all were kept as exhibits. The two have rushed to the hospital, no fatalities reported.
