Witness Narrates Shocking Ordeal: The High Court in Eldoret heard shocking details about how Jackton Odhiambo, the prime suspect in the murder of LGBTQ activist Edwin Kiptoo alias Chiloba.
According to evidence, Odhiambo immediately after the victim’s murder, paid for various services using Chiloba’s money. Some of the things he did including entertainment, hotels, massage parlours, taxi services and even sex dens.
Witnesses, including a data analyst, massage therapist, forensic expert and government analyst, testified against Odhiambo, revealing that he left Chiloba’s decomposing body in his house while squandering the deceased’s funds.
The witness stated,” My friend called me on the morning of January 1, 2023 and asked me where I was and I told her that I was at my rented house. She then told me that she had secured a client who wanted a massage and sexual favours.”
“While at the apartment where he had booked a room, Odhiambo asked me to give him a massage which I did and then he asked for sexual favours which I offered,” she added.
Transactions conducted using Chiloba’s M-pesa number have been scrutinized, with evidence presented of money being spent on purchasing a metallic box where Chiloba’s body was eventually found.
The decomposed body of Chiloba was found in a metal box along Kipkenyo-Kaptinga road in Kapseret sub-county on January 3, 2023
