Drama as Heavily Armed Goon Walks Into Police Station & Beats Up Officers: Two police officers attached to Kangema Station in Murang’a County were on Tuesday attacked by a man, who was angered by a contested land Dispute.
Reportedly, The assailant entered the station and reported the matter to Corporal James Gitonga. He narrated the issued involving a land tussle involving his neighbour.
Corporal Gitonga, recorded down the matter as he advised the Man on the next steps to take. However, but moments later, the assailant brandished a machete and threatened to hack the officer to death by aiming the weapon at the law enforcement officer’s direction.
The officer quickly protected himself using his left hand, however, he sustained deep cuts on his left hand’s middle and ring fingers, and another deep cut on his right hand.
Other officers on hearing the fracas, chased him down which led to a commotion at the station. A Police Constable John Kimathi managed to reach the suspect, resulting in a physical altercation.
Kimathi managed to subdue the assailant but sustained deep cuts on the left hand and right chest.
The officers were rushed to Bliss Hospital in Murang’a for specialised treatment while the 59-year-old suspect was arrested and currently in custody.
