Rescue Operations as Four Storey Building Collapses in Kirinyaga: Detectives have launched a man hunt for The owner of the four-storey building that collapsed Wednesday morning at Karia village in Kirinyaga County killing a 40-year-old woman.
Kirinyaga County Police Commander Andrew Naibei has urged the building owner who has since been identified as Milicent Wamutira, to surrender to the nearest police station for formal processing.
The police commander, who was accompanied by Kirinyaga Deputy Governor David Wachira, was speaking after visiting the scene of the collapsed building which caused the death of Lydia Nyawira Mugo.
He stated,”The whole building went down and partially destroyed a permanent building owned by the deceased By tomorrow we will know what happened… we would like to assure you that we are going to investigate this incident as we wait for the owner of the building and if we find he violated the stipulated rules of construction, action will be taken.”
