National Museums of Kenya addresses viral claims of Snakes Swept From The Park: This comes after rumors circulated on the socials, indicating that the Heavy rain in Nairobi is believed to have swept venomous snakes and crocodiles from the Snake Park located within the Museum.
The message cautioned Kenyans to remain vigilant not to be bitten by the wild animals that are believed to be loitering around.
The NMK has however, refuted the claims of snakes ‘escaping cages’ while advising the public to treat the information as false.
They further assured the public that every exhibit is well-secured and do not pose as a danger, as circulated in some posts.
The statement read,” This is to inform the public that at the national museums of Kenya, the safety and security of all our live exhibits is paramount. Each exhibit is securely housed in its appropriate enclosure, guaranteeing their well- being and Preservation.”
