Concerns Raised Over Kisii Politicians Walking Around With TSC Appointment Letters: A debate has ignited over the increasing number of politicians from the Kisii region attending social events carrying Teachers Service Commission (TSC) appointment letters.
Speaking on Sunday, MP Kibagendi made the remarks on Sunday after the fracas that was witnessed between ODM and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) politicians was at Bomachoge Borabu Constituency during a fundraising event.
The Legislator pointed fingers at his UDA Counterparts saying they fueled the chaotic scenes by dishing out employment letters
He stated,”One UDA MP started dishing TSC employment letters and Kenya Forestry Services employment letters,”
“We are going to ask hard questions in Parliament about how some MPs can be walking around with employment letters for certain government departments,” he added.
This was not the first time leaders from the region dished out appointment letters during an event.
Last year, Majority whip MP Silvanus Osoro remarked that he had been given 100 TSC appointment letters for his constituency.
The National Assembly Majority Whip explained that this was one of the ways his region was benefiting from the government and All letters in his possession were preserved for South Mugirango constituents only.
Notably, Leading the Pack is Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu who also handed out TSC appointment letters during a funeral event in the Kisii region.
At one point, a young man walked to the dais and kneeled in front of the CS begging for help.
“Are you a teacher?” Machogu asked the young man and after he nodded he was handed an appointment letter
