This applies to all the immigration offices in the country ranging from Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Embu, Nakuru, Kisii and Kericho.
The department has therefore requested applicants who had received notifications that their passports were ready for collection to take advantage of the exercise and collect the documents
The notice read,”To enhance passport issuance, we have dedicated 13th-18th May 2024 to the fast-tracking of passport delivery in ALL passport application centres across the country,”
“To expedite the collection of passports, our Nairobi office will be open from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday 11 May 2024. Applicants who applied for passports in Nairobi and have received notifications to collect their passports are encouraged to take advantage of the extended service,” the notice read.
However, the Department is also catching up with delays in processing applications which were occasioned by a halt in production.
