Property Reduced To Ashes Fire Burns Down Junior Secondary Dormitories in A Popular School: On Friday, An Inferno burnt down 2 dormitories that host grade 7 students at Pentagon Academy in Migori County.
The Unfortunated incident occurred as students were attending their evening lessons who immediately they rushed to put out the fire and salvage their property.
A report from a teacher at the school, outlined that nothing was recovered from the fire and it consumed property approximately worth Ksh1 million.
One the Teachers Narrated, “Learners screamed for help. Everything was burnt to ashes, there was nothing we could rescue. Everything was burnt to ashes there was nothing we rescued and nothing was salvaged as they went to ashes,”
“As a school, we had fire extinguishers that we tried to use to put out the fire but it was not possible because they were exhausted,” the teacher added.
