Early Morning Fire Razes Down Mavoko Law Courts; Several court files have reportedly been destroyed after an inferno broke out at Mavoko Law Courts in Machakos early Friday.
Accordinv to the Police who have since taken up the matter, the full extent of damage caused by the fire was yet to be known
The matter was reported to Athi River police station within Athi River South subcounty as a fire incident report at Mavoko Law Courts at around 4.40 am Friday by a senior court employee.
The police report read, “It was reported by a court staffer that there was a fire breakout at the said premise. Police officers from Athi River police station in the company of DCI officers rushed to the scene where it was established that the fire spread from the court’s archives room and slightly at the accounts room where several files were burnt,”
