We are seeking an excellent leader with an outstanding track record in business leadership to serve as Managing Director. The ideal candidate should have a proven ability to deliver results, be a visionary and innovative thinker, and have the capacity to build a dynamic and high-performing management team.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director is responsible for leading the strategic direction, operational excellence, and control of New KCC’s entire supply chain to deliver high-quality milk and milk products in local and international markets while maximising stakeholder value through efficient resource utilisation.
Person Specifications
Applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, Economics,
Production Processing, Law, or related fields from a recognised university.
Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution.
Relevant professional qualifications.
Over 15 years of work experience in a large commercial entity, preferably in a
fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, is an added advantage.
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience at a senior management level.
Strategic leadership course or its equivalent lasting not less than four (4) weeks.
Membership in a recognised professional body.
A visionary leader with a track record of delivering results.
Proven expertise in strategic leadership and corporate governance.
Exceptional organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must have the ability to inspire innovation and creativity among the workforce.
Skilled at managing external corporate relationships and media interactions.
Knowledge and ability to foster positive relationships with stakeholders across
the value chain.
Actively engages in relevant trade association networks and stays abreast of
changing business environments.
Firm, fair and transparent management style.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in standard office applications and
enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
The successful candidates must also meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and the Leadership and Integrity Act.
1. Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority.
2. Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board. 3. Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
4. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations. 5. Clearance from an approved credit reference bureau.
