Details Emerge on The Murder Incident at Qukin Lounge in Kiambu

Details Emerge on The Murder Incident at Qukin Lounge in Kiambu: In the early hours of Saturday morning, an armed reveller allegedly fatally shot one Anthony Njomo following a bar brawl outside the popular Qukin Lounge establishment in Kiambu.

Njomo reportedly worked for the American Embassy and was enjoying a night out with friends before the altercation escalated into violence.

Police have launched an investigation to uncover how a firearm could be brought into the lounge and used so recklessly.

Management of Qukin Lounge extended their condolences to Njomo’s family and assured the public that they are cooperating with the investigative authorities.

The Public Statement Read; 

We would wish to state the following without divulging much so that we do not interfere with the ongoing investigations.

Last night around 2 in the morning, an unfortunate incidence involving a group of people was going on outside the establishment.

In the heat of the moment someone discharged a firearm fatally injuring Mr. Njomo who later passed away. The incidence was captured by our CCTV cameras facing the road.

In the presence of close family members and police officers, we reviewed the security footage and handed it over to the investigative authorities. We wish not to comment much about it so that we do not interfere with the ongoing investigations.

We cannot release the footage to the public due to the sensitivity of the matter.

Njomo was not part of the commotion.

The incidence did not happen inside the lounge.

We do not allow firearms in our establishment.

We take all the necessary measures to ensure the safety of all our patrons and staff.

We are cooperating with the investigative authorities to apprehend the culprit.
