Several Bodies Recovered in Gitaru House Collapse, Rescue Operations ongoing.

Several Bodies Recovered in Gitaru House Collapse: Rescue Agencies have confirmed that atleast 4 bodies have so far been found from a building that collapsed Friday evening in Gitaru, Kiambu county and trapped workers on Friday.

The collapse occurred around 4:30pm. Reports indicate the building was being demolished to pave way for the for the construction of the interchange at Gitaru.

Kenya Red Cross Stated,” One person rescued, others feared trapped after a four-storey building collapsed in Gitaru, Kiambu County. Kenya Red Cross first responders, alongside a multi-agency team, are currently conducting rescue efforts to reach those suspected to be trapped.”
