Farouk Kibet Leads UDA Politicians in Responding To Gachagua’s Recent Remarks: President Ruto’s aide has responded to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over his recent remarks.
While speaking in Mosop, Nandi County, Kibet argued that the cohesion is important than one individual.
“Watu wanajitakia makuu, wacha wakuje watuulize kura siku ya mwisho. Sisi tunapongeza waheshimiwa ambao wanadumisha umoja,” he stated.
On his part, Lari MP Joseph Kahang’ara highlighted that President Ruto ascended to power on his own and did not need anyone to win over the Mt Kenya vote.
“The President was proactive and he alone won over the region before the elections. Therefore it is a mistake for anyone to come out and claim that they ‘gave’ the mountain to Ruto,” he stated.
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah also called on leaders to refrain from engaging in politics and instead concentrate on supporting the President’s vision.
“How will it be that when the President is building a name for Kenya in the region and globally yet you want to backtrack his efforts back home?” The Prime CS posed.
Ichung’wah, on his part, insisted that any efforts to bully other leaders into to a specific ideology would not be tolerated.
“We must tell each other that respect is earned and never demanded through coercion, intimidation or insulting other leaders,” he said
