Gunshots and Deaths Reported at Rongai Days After Some Githurai Shootings incident: In videos circulating online, Several have been injured and others dead, after gun shots were fire at Rongai Area in Nairobi.
Disturbing reports and videos from Ongata Rongai confirmed that a young boy and a kid were tragically shot during today’s anti-government protests.

Notably, A Mob of thieves that tried to infiltrate peaceful anti-government protests in Rongai apprehended by the public. The thugs were later frog-marched to Ongata Rongai Police Station after receiving ‘Greetings’ from residents.
On Wednesday, Reports were received from Githurai residents revealing that intense shootings that led to several killings in the area were from law enforcement agencies.
Information received from the police report regarding the issue asserted that indeed the protests were initially peaceful but they later turned violent.
“The group numbered about six thousand became violent and lit a bonfire on the road,” the report reads.
Additionally, the report showed that the protesters managed to subdue the officers and they had to withdraw from the scene.
”As they were withdrawing they blocked the road with an electric pole and consequently cut off the police Land Cruiser belonging to Mwiki police station from the convoy and completely burned it down and vandalised its remains,” the report reads.
It added that two other police Cruisers from Mwihoko and Kimbo police stations were also vandalised with their windscreens and side mirrors broken.
The report also noted that a total of twenty police officers on duty were injured in the altercation with most of them being treated and discharged.
