MP Farah Defends His Trending Video After Ken Mijungu Bans Him From His Show
MP Farah Defends His Trending Video After Ken Mijungu Bans Him From His Show: KTN Journalist Ken Mijungu on Tuesday, July 9, announced that Daadab Member of Parliament Farah Maalim was banned from his show.
This comes after a clip of Farah Maalim allegedly telling president Ruto to quiet Gen Z Protestors:
The now translated clip indicated Farah Maalim declaring that if he were the Kenyan President, he would never allowed Gen Z to protest against the Finance Bill.
The video has since been perceived as incitement and advising President William Ruto to take an extremist position on the ongoing protests.
Mijungu stated, “A lawmaker said this! A seasoned legislator. As a patriotic Kenyan, I will never host him on my show again! Never.”
However Maalim has defended himself saying that the video in question was digitally manipulated describing the entire situation as a political witch-hunt.
He stated,”The video making the rounds has been edited. It’s all cutting and pasting, taking a word from here and putting it together,”
“It is Somalis who basically would do that, for other reasons, because I also weighed in on the politics of Somalia,” he added.
