Acting IG Douglas Kanja Has Transferred All Kware Police station officers
Acting IG Douglas Kanja Has Transferred All Kware Police station officers: Inspector General of Police on Sunday transferred all police officers stationed at Kware Police Station as investigations into the Mukuru killings continued.
Speaking to the the media, IG Douglas outlined that the transfer was necessary to accord investigators prepare a report that was fair and unbiased.
He stated,”To ensure fair and unbiased investigations, I have moved the officers from Kware Police Station. In this difficult time, we stand with the community and we remain committed to uncovering the truth and bringing those responsible to justice.”
Further, He stated that the investigations will be concluded in a period of 21 days in collaboration with several security agencies.
He stated,”Our officers in collaboration with the ODPP are working tirelessly to conclude the investigations within 21 days. The police service and I would like to assure the public that we are committed to conducting transparent, thorough, and swift investigations.”
He further added that all the 8 bodies retrieved were female and mutilated. The bodies were found wrapped in polythene bags and sacks tied with ropes.
