CCTV Footage Captures Police Storming Church, Fire Live Bullets: Tensions escalated in Nakuru Town on Tuesday afternoon after police officers stormed a church to flush out protestors.
The officers were captured by the church’s CCTV where they stormed the building in search of protestors who had stated sought refuge in the church.
The CCTV footage indicated congregants who were on the church podium lying on the floor in fear of being picked by the officers.
According to the church’s management, the congregants had just completed their lunch hour service when one of the reverends was conducting a prayer.
The Bishop Lamented, “Why shoot live bullets and beat people in our Church, we had our normal lunch hour service. Rev Patriciah Benson was praying for members. As the Bishop of Chosen Generation Church I condemn this act of excessive use of force by the police,”
However, no injuries or casualties were reported from the afternoon incident.
