Miano Responds After Her Name Misses in list of Cabinet nominees to Parliament: President
Ruto on July 19 nominated the former Trade and Industry CS for the post of Attorney General as he unveiled 11 faces of his first batch of the new-look Cabinet.
But in the list he conveyed to Parliament, her name was missing.
“Honourable Members, Standing Order 42(1) relating to ‘Messages from the President’ provides that: ‘The Speaker shall read to the House any message from the President delivered to the Speaker for communication to the House’” Wetang’ula said.
“In this regard, I wish to convey to the House that I have received a message from His Excellency the President, notifying the nomination of various persons for appointment to the Offices of Cabinet Secretaries,” he added.
Amid Controversial stories of The head of state ommitting her name and others saying she declined the job offer, Miano has written a cryptic message.
Other netizens stated that the Attorney General is vetted separately and she is a member of the cabinet and not a cabinet secretary.
Miano wrote,” When rumour mills are rolling, the well~advised stay still.“
