Ruto Reveals Special Task He wants Joho & Mvurya to Do After CS Vetting: President William Ruto has tasked the newly nominated Cabinet Secretaries from the Coast with drafting a plan for counter the challenges of absentee landlords in the region.
The head of state was Speaking in Lunga Lunga on Saturday, July 7, where he noted that Mining CS nominee Hassan Joho and his Trade Counterpart Salim Mvurya would be key in helping the government address the challenges of squatters at the coast.
Together with Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, the President directed the leaders to begin engagement with the Ministry of Lands.
He stated,”The coastal region now has three top leaders in this government. I want to give them a task. We promised people that we would solve the land issue at the coast,”
“I want these leaders including the two CS nominees and the Senate Speaker to sit down with the CS of lands so that they come up with a framework on how we will deal with this issue. My desire is to have the process start this year. We want to ensure that people from this region get title deeds even as we deal with the problem of squatters,” he added.
