Families in Mourning as Several are Killed in Baringo Landslide

Families in Mourning as Several are Killed in Baringo Landslide: Five people, including four family members, were killed in a landslide on Tuesday following a night of heavy rainfall in Kasisit, Baringo County.

According to reports, The landslide also affected Kapkombe area, claiming the life of a mother who was buried alive by debris.

Another person was reported missing and two graves swept away. The deceased woman’s husband, who survived the incident, narrated that he was left stranded at Kabarnet town owing to the downpours, only to find word that a tragedy has happened.

The Kenya Red Cross and Baringo County Disaster Department launched search missions.Five have been found while one is still missing.
