Several Senior Police Officers Reshuffled in Latest Changes: Deputy Inspector General of Kenya Police Service (KPS) Eliud Lagat on Monday approved changes within the police service.
National Police College (NPC) Embakasi Campus Commanding Officer Jonathan Murray shared an internal memo with all Faculties, sections and Magadi Field Campus announcing the changes.
Richard Disii Rotich, who served as the deputy regional police commander of Rift Valley, was unveiled as the new deputy General Service Unit (GSU) commander while Edward Kipsang Changach was moved from a supervisory position to serve as the new County Police Commander (CPC) of Lamu County.
Joshua Kasoka is now the commanding officer at headquarters, William Sawe is the new head of operations at the GSU while Nickson Auka will serve in the police headquarters.
The memo read, “This is to bring to your attention that the DIG KPS has approved deployment of the following officers,”
Judy Gichumba is now officer in charge of leadership and management faculty at B campus while Bernard Mbatha will be the deputy director of operations at police headquarters
Charles Chesir is now in charge of transport at GSU, Mwanadoyo Mayaa takes the Gender and welfare department at GSU and David Kigai will be the deputy commander at the headquarters.
Cleti Kimaiyo, who served as Siaya County police commander , was moved to serve as deputy head of GSU’s Recce unit.
James Mamir will be in charge of training and Vitalis Adawa was transferred to the headquarters. Philomen Leshoo is now
