Full Cabinet Constitution As MPs Approve AG, EAC CS Nominees

Full Cabinet Constitution As MPs Approve AG, EAC CS Nominees: Dorcas Oduor and Beatrice Askul have been approved by the National Assembly to proceed to occupy the positions of Attorney General and Cabinet Secretary of East Africa Community (EAC) Affairs and Regional Development respectively.

As soon as they assume office, the cabinet will be 1 Cabinet Secretary away from full constitution with President William Ruto yet to nominate another person after the Committee on Appointments rejected Soi Lang’at.

Junet stated,”Dorcas is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 15 years experience and distinguished legal practitioner. Askul is a career civil servant with vast experience on social governance of arid and semi-arid lands,”

On his part, Gatanga Legislator Edward Muriu testified Oduor’s professionalism intimating that he has crossed paths before with her as a legal practitioner in the AG chambers.

“She knows all the cracks and corners in the AG chambers. The AG chambers is the largest law-firm, it requires somebody who has got the intricacies of the running of that organization,” Muriu emphasized.

“I have full confidence in these two ladies that I have known so well over the years. I support and I congratulate these two wonderful women,” Nyando MP added.
