Popular Journalist Salim Swaleh Pleads With Ruto In Viral Video After Being Fired From Mudavadi’s Office: A video has surfaced showing embattled journalist Salim Swaleh (who most recently served as Director of Press in Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi’s office) visibly distraught and begging for a second chance amid allegations of his involvement in a Ksh 5.8 million fraud scheme.
Swaleh was arrested in June 2024 on charges linked to fraudulent activities and misuse of his official position.
This incident unfolded after a tip-off led to his arrest along with other suspected fraudsters at the Kenya Railways building, where they were found with counterfeit nameplates and accused of impersonating officials.
Swaleh’s current plea comes as the DPP reassesses the charges following new evidence presented by his defense team, led by lawyer Danstan Omari.
His bid for a second chance also seeks to restore his damaged reputation and mend relations with Mudavadi whose trust he betrayed in this high-profile case.
