CS Duale Appoints Former Governor As Chair of Environmental Complaints Committee.

CS Duale Appoints Former Governor As Chair of Environmental Complaints Committee: Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Forestry Aden Duale has appointed Godana Doyo Adhi to be the chairperson of the National Environmental Complaints Committee.

Adhi who was the former Isiolo Governor, was appointed for a period of three years with effect from August 30, 2024.

This means This sitting chair,  Too’s tenure at the position come to an end as Duale revoked her appointment.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 31(1)(a) of the Environmental Management and Coordination Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry appoints Godana Doyo Adhi to be the Chairperson of the National Environmental Complaints Committee.” the notice reads.

The National Environmental Complaints Committee, investigates complaints or allegations regarding the condition of the environment in Kenya and on its own motion, any suspected cases of environmental degradation
