Mithika Linturi makes First Public Appearance after being dismissed as CS, Declares His Stance on Support For Ruto
Mithika Linturi makes First Public Appearance: Thr former cabinet secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development of Kenya has made his first appearance since his dismissal from the Ministry in July on Sunday during a visit by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at his home county.
Speaking in Meru at a church fundraising ceremony, the former CS welcomed Gachagua commending him for helping him during his tenure.
The former CS declared his loyalty to Kenya Kwanza and vowed to support President William Ruto’s administration despite being dismissed as a cabinet secretary
He stated,”We as people of Meru love the President and we were part of the creation of this government, so we are not going to leave,” he stated. “We fought for this government. We are in there,”
He further cited Article 6 of the constitution under the first schedule which explains that all counties are part of Kenya and have a right to be part of the government.
“The constitutions say all governments are distinct but must work closely and in cooperation. It is to affirm that the Government belongs to us all,” he explained.
