Former Presidential Candidate Abduba Dida Has Been Arrested: His legal troubles began in McLean County, Illinois, where he was found guilty of two counts—stalking and transmitting threats, as well as aggravated stalking and violating a restraining order.
These charges resulted in two separate sentences: two years for the first offence and seven years for the second. Dida’s release is tentatively scheduled for April 2029.
Further reports indicate that the former kenyan presidential candidate was arrested and charged back in 2022 and the information has been kept on the law for sometime now
Dida has already served two years in prison and is expected to be released in 2029 after serving the seven year sentence. It’s believed that he is held at the Illinois prison for his sentence
However, According to his lawyer, The prison where he is currently held in is not providing religiously adequate opportunities to pray or to observe other tenants of his religion and thus placed a civil rights action.
The statement Read,”Mohamed Abduba Dida, an inmate of the Illinois Department of Corrections currently detained at Big Muddy River Correctional Center brings this civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. for alleged deprivations of his constitutional rights.”
