Atwoli Breaks Silence After Viral Push To Become Ruto’s Deputy President
Atwoli Breaks silence after Viral allegations that he was up for the deputy president position as Gachagua’s impeachment motion moves to the senate.
However, according to Atwoli he has no desire to join politics and contest for the deputy president position or any other elective seat.
He therefore highlighted that the Luhya community had known leaders within President William Ruto’s administration who are better placed to become the country’s second in command.
Atwoli stated,”If anything is coming for the Luhya community we have known political leaders who speak for the community politically and represent us in government,”
“Those people who are busy peddling rumours under some unknown research document on who should be considered for DP from Western Kenya, should stop and forget such unprocessed thoughts,” he added.
Atwoli was forced to set the record straight after a section of Kenyans fronted his name for the position even as Kenyans speculated on who is likely to be tapped to replace Gachagua in the event he is impeached.
Gachagua whose fate is currently in the hands of Senators was on Tuesday evening impeached by the Members of Parliament after 281 legislators voted in favour of the special motion.
