PSC Is Hiring[NOVEMBER 2024]; Vacancies/How To Apply
The Public Service Commission (PSC) is inviting applications from qualified individuals to fill the positions of Vice-Chairperson (1 position) and Members (7 positions) of the PSC.
The application process is governed by Article 233 of the Constitution of Kenya, as well as the Public Service Commission Act (Chapter 185, Laws of Kenya
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Education: Must hold a degree from a recognized university.
- Experience: Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in their field.
- Integrity: Must fulfill the integrity and leadership requirements outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Certain conditions disqualify individuals from being appointed to these roles, including:
- Holding or having held political office, such as a Member of Parliament, County Assembly, or leadership positions in political parties within the past five years.
- Holding any state office or being a candidate for election as a Member of Parliament or County Assembly.
- Holding office in political organizations that support candidates for elections to Parliament or County Assemblies.
- Being an undischarged bankrupt.
- Having been removed from office for violating constitutional or legal provisions.
The term for both the Vice-Chairperson and Members of the PSC is set as a single, non-renewable six-year period. The appointees will serve on a full-time basis and are not permitted to hold any other office or employment, whether in the public or private sector, for profit during their tenure.

- Applicants may deliver their applications to Room 306, Third Floor, Harambee House, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi, during working hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
