UDA Politician Hospitalised After Lung Failure
Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata, on Tuesday, shared a plea to the members of the public to help raise funds for a nominated Member of the County Assembly (MCA) who is facing a serious health condition.
The MCA, Mark G Wainaina, who is allied to the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, was diagnosed with a severe pulmonary disease that has caused his lungs to fail.
The county assembly is therefore scheduled to host a fundraising event to shore up financial support to aid in the diseased MCA’s treatment
“The Murang’a County Assembly Members Caucus invites you to a fundraising dinner in aid of one of our Members, Hon. Mark G. Wainaina who has been diagnosed with a severe pulmonary disease that has caused both of his lungs to fail,’’ Kang’ata shared.
According to the MCA’s brother, the lawmaker’s condition recently deteriorated, prompting the family to seek well-wishers’ support.
Information from the organisers of the event revealed that the medical contributions would be followed by a bigger fundraiser at Sagret Hotel located in Milimani, Nairobi, on Friday, November 15.
Sharleen Wambui, a fellow MCA, called upon Kenyans to help the family of Wainaina to raise funds for his treatment
“Family and friends, we invite you to help us raise some funds for our brother Mark Wainaina who is currently been treated for severe Pneumonia which has caused all his vital organs to stop functioning and is currently in the ICU,” she shared.
