23yr Old Infamous KCSE Exam ‘Leakage Guru’ Arrested
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) says it has apprehended allegedly involved in the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination malpractice.
The Twenty-three-year-old Collins Kipchumba Kemboi is said to have been operating under the female alias Dorothy Jerop Kiprono to run exam leakage platforms on Telegram and WhatsApp.
He allegedly has a following of over 78,000 on Telegram and over 8,500 in his WhatsApp groups.
Detectives and Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) officials arrested him “with his tools of trade right on the table” in a house in Kiamunyi, Nakuru County on Wednesday.
Among the items discovered in his hideout include a phone they suspect Kemboi used to fleece candidates, alongside several SIM cards, national ID cards bearing different names and a driving license.
“The detectives established that Kemboi is a graduate from a Kenyan university, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management. He is also employed as a salesperson by an international company, and has his roots in Kaseta area of Sacho in Baringo County,” said DCI.
