DCI Addresses Viral Reports of 2 Individuals Arrested Sleeping in Ruto’s bed at State House.
Detectives attached at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has denied reports that two persons were arrested sleeping in President William Ruto’s bed in State House Mombasa.
According to a screenshot that was circulated online on Sunday, November 17, 2024, two people identified as Maina and Muthoni were found sleeping in the king-size bed before they were arrested.
The reports further noted that guards were alerted after the cooks heard loud ‘snoring’ sounds coming from the bedroom.
The DCI has therefore dismissed the poster, labelling it as “fake news”. They further outlined that the two individuals were arrested on a crime of handling suspected stolen property
