Over 50 Houses Burnt Down After Fire Breaks Out in Nairobi Estate, Rescue Operations Underway
Property of unknown value has went up in flames at the Mlango Kubwa Estate in Mathare Sub-County, Nairobi.
The fire, burnt down at least 50 households, forcing residents to seek alternative shelters in the neighbouring estates.
Confirming the incident was the Kenya Red Cross Society, Nairobi branch, who revealed that it had dispatched a rescue team to the scene.
Moments later, the Nairobi Disaster Management team, along with the area police officers, arrived at the scene and intensified efforts to put out the fire that had engulfed several houses.

Hours after battling the inferno, the multi-agency team managed to contain the fire. At the time of publishing this article, no casualties had been reported.
