Hussein Debasso Rejects Ruto’s NYS job appointment
Hussein Tene Debasso, has turned down President Ruto’s state job, following a gazette notice on Friday.
Debasso joins the list of individuals who have declined state jobs. Ohers include the former Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka, who had been appointed to the position of chairman of the Kenya Animal Genetic Resource Centre, and former nominated senator Millicent Omanga who declined an appointment to the Nairobi Rivers Commission
Debasso in a statement declining the appointment to NYS,expressed his gratitude for the appointment but cited personal reasons for his decision to turn down the position
Debasso’s appointment to the NYS Board was announced by Public Service and Human Capital Development Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi.
On the same day, President Ruto replaced Debasso as KNTC chairperson with Evans Kidero, who will serve for a three-year term, through Gazette Notice No. 14795.
Debasso’s removal from the KNTC board follows his opposition to a directive by Investment, Trade, and Industry Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya.
