Suspect in The Brutal Murder of DCI Detective David Mayaka Has Been Arrested
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a suspect in the Brutal murder of David Mayaka, a police constable (PC) attached to the DCI in Makadara.
According to the National Police Service, the prime suspect was arrested in the Kiambiu slums after officers conducted an intelligence led operation in the area.
The constable was driving home in the company of his wife at around 10pm when the suspect stopped next to his vehicle in the Mihango area before opening fire and shooting the officer in the abdomen
The police are now searching for a suspect involved in the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Abdirahim Abdullahi Ibrahim, which took place near DD Plaza in Eastleigh on November 9 as captured by nearby CCTV cameras.
According to Ibrahim’s family, he was meeting his girlfriend on a street in Eastleigh when an unknown assailant approached and shot him at point-blank range.
According to the CCTV footage, a gunman wearing a cap can be seen approaching the couple from behind.
Moments later, he drew a firearm, moved closer, and fired a single shot just below Abdirahim’s ear. The bullet exited through the other side of his head.
After the shooting, the suspect stole Ibrahim’s mobile phone and fled the scene, leaving his girlfriend behind.
A postmortem examination conducted at the City Mortuary, at the request of detectives from Shauri Moyo, revealed that Abdirahim died from excessive blood loss due to a gunshot wound to his neck
