Missing Senior Church Leader Who Stabbed Wife 18 Times Surrenders to Police at Night
The suspect identified as Elias Mutugi Njeru, who is also a church’s treasurer, brought himself at the Nakuru Police Station in the company of his lawyer.
According to the police, the suspect was immediately taken into custody pending further processing as the police concluded investigations into the case.
Last week, a report of attempted murder was made at Kiamunyi Police Post in Nakuru. Preliminary investigations established that the victim was attacked by her lover who is also her business associate at a real estate firm in Nairobi.
The incident happened at their rental house in Nakuru City following domestic wrangles which escalated and ended up in violence.
The woman and her lover enjoyed a peaceful relationship culminating in investing and opening a business together. However, over time, the relationship started turning changed for the worst.
The suspect, a businessman and a senior leader at a Nairobi-based church had been on the run for three days after allegedly attacking his lover and stabbing her 18 times including chopping her fingers off.
