Chaos As SHA Chairman is Heckled and Forced Out of KMPDU Special Delegates Conference
Drama was today witnessed after Social Health Authority (SHA) Chairman Dr Abdi Mohammed was heckled and forced out of the Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentists’ Union (KMPDU) Special Delegates Conference.
The meeting that is currently ongoing at Nairobi, follows the death of intern Dr. Francis Njuki and ongoing grievances over unpaid salaries and welfare concerns.

According to the Secretary General Davji Atellah, the financial challenges have led to two deaths, including that of a pharmacist at Thika Level 5 Hospital and four suicide attempts.
Atellah further explained that the government had not implemented the return-to-work formula signed on May 8 after a 56-day strike.
