Ruto Sends Message to Bishops After His Ksh5.8 Million Donation Rejection
The head of state William Ruto on Sunday, December 1, dismissed any differences between the state and the religious leader after the Catholic Church rejected his personal donation of Ksh2.6 that he handed to St Anna and Joakim parish in Soweto, Nairobi.
He was Speaking during a church service where he asked the church to stop viewing the state as an enemy but rather as a development partner.
The Catholic church in a statement on Saturday, revealed that they had returned all the rejected money that Ruto had donated to them.
However, The National Assembly leader of the majority Kimani Ichung’wah rubbished the statement saying the church was dishonest and no money was returned.
