Administration Police Constable Lilian Biwott Found Guilty In Murder of Husband
Police officer Lilian Biwott has been found guilty of killing her husband. According to the justice, Biwott is scheduled for sentencing in December 16, 2024.
Biwott was accused of shooting dead his husband Victor Kipchumba on the night of October 9, 2023, an incident that took place at their rental house in Kimumu estate, located along the Eldoret-Iten Highway.
During her appearance in court before Justice Reuben Nyakundi, Biwott recounted a harrowing tale of domestic violence and self-defense.
According to Biwott, She acted to protect herself and their four children when her husband became violent and attempted to snatch her official AK-47 rifle.
In a chilling narrative, Biwott told the court that just days before the shooting, on October 14, 2023, she received a distressing call from Kipchumba, who threatened to kill their children.
On her part, Sharon Jepchirchir, the house help of Police Constable Lilian Biwott, told Justice Reuben Nyakundi of the Eldoret High Court that the officer used a G3 rifle to kill her husband, Victor Kipchumba, at their family home in Kimumu Estate on the night of October 9, 2023.
