Murkomen Sends Message To Ruto After His Appointment As Interior CS
Newly appointed Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has expressed heartfelt gratitude to President William Ruto for handpicking him as the new interior cabinet Secretary.
Murkomen in his gratitude message highlighted that he will support the Head of State deliver on his national security and administration agenda.
Meanwhile, As announced by the head of Public Service Felix Koskei, Salim Mvurya was also moved from the Investments, Trade and Industry ministry to head the Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports Ministry.
The former Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui was nominated to replace Mvurya in the Trade ministry.
President Ruto Appointed former Sports CS Ababu Namwamba as Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)/United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON).
Immediate former ICT Cabinet Secretary Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u, who was replaced by ex-Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo, was reassigned to the position of High Commissioner to Ghana.
Mutahi Kagwe replaced Dr. Andrew Karanja in the Agriculture docket. Karanja was therefore appointed as Kenya’s Ambassador to Brazil, while Amb. Gertrude N. Angote was posted to the High Commission in Zimbabwe.
President Ruto further appointed former Laikipia Governor and Raila Odinga’s campaign Chairman in the 2022 presidential election, Ndiritu Muriithi, as the Chairperson of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Board.
